Bay Area Move-Out Cleaning: What’s Included and How to Book

Moving out is busy enough without a long cleaning list. Whether you’re leaving an apartment in Berkeley, a flat in San Francisco, or a house in San Jose, a professional move-out cleaning gets the empty home ready for the next occupants. This is what’s included and how to get ready.

What’s Included

Our move-in and move-out cleaning covers everything in a standard clean, plus the detail work a handover needs:

• Detailed dusting throughout the home

• Cleaning light switches and door handles

• Hand cleaning all exhaust fans

• Removing soap scum buildup and heavy scrubbing of bathroom tiles

• Detailed toilet area cleaning

• Hand washing baseboards and windowsills

• Light organization of all rooms

• Extra time for high-detail areas

Add-Ons

You can add the inside of the oven, dishwasher, fridge (empty), cabinets (empty), or microwave, plus windows, blinds, spot cleaning of walls, a basement, dishes, or laundry.

How to Prepare

We assume the home is empty of furniture and personal belongings, which lets us reach every area. Take your belongings out before we arrive, and empty the fridge and cabinets if you’d like those cleaned inside. Schedule the clean for after everything is out and before your final walkthrough.

Booking

Choose your service, enter your home’s details so we set aside the right amount of time, and pick a date and arrival window. We confirm your booking by email or text. You don’t need to be home when your cleaners arrive or leave, and rescheduling is free when done at least 48 hours before your booking.

What If the Cleaning Takes Longer Than Estimated?

Enter the home’s details accurately when you book. If the job runs past the estimated time, additional time is charged at $40 per hour, per cleaner, and an additional booking can also be made.

Does the Home Need to Be Empty?

Yes. Our move-in/out cleaning assumes there is no furniture or personal belongings in the home.

What If I’m Not Satisfied?

Tell us within two days (48 hours) of the service and we’ll gladly return to address any missed areas at no additional cost.
